POS Backup is a private utility used by its owner to back up files from a local point-of-sale computer to the owner's Google Drive account.

Google user data accessed

POS Backup may access Google Drive data through the Google Drive API. This access is used only for the backup workflow, including uploading, listing, organizing, retaining, and deleting backup files as configured by the owner.

How data is used

Google user data is used solely to provide the backup functionality requested by the account owner. POS Backup does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or unrelated purposes.

Data sharing

POS Backup does not sell Google user data and does not share Google user data with third parties. The backup process runs for the owner's own account and transfers files directly between the local computer and Google Drive through the configured backup software.

Data storage and retention

Backup files are stored in the owner's Google Drive account. Local logs may record technical information about backup executions. Retention of backup files is controlled by the owner's backup configuration.

Security

Access to Google Drive is authorized using Google's OAuth 2.0 mechanism. OAuth credentials and tokens are used only for the configured backup process.

Google API Services

Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, where applicable.
